Module 1 required the creation of two maps. The first map, titled Aerial Photograph Depicting Various Tones/Textures, is a gray scale aerial image that shows an area of land with different tones and textures. Polygons have been added to the map to classify areas according to gradients of their tones (yellow) and textures (purple), ranging from very light/fine to very dark/coarse. The second map, titled Identifying Features, is an aerial image of a beach. Numerous points have been added to name features on the map that could be identified based on their shape and size (blue), shadow (yellow), pattern (green), and surroundings/associations (red).
